DevOps & Backend Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a DevOps & Backend Engineer to design and operate the cloud infrastructure that supports OmniBuds’ research, analytics, and future products. You will ensure reliability, security, and scalability across data pipelines and backend services.

What you’ll do

• Build and maintain backend services for data ingestion, storage, and analytics.
• Design scalable cloud infrastructure for time-series physiological data.
• Implement CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code.
• Ensure security, monitoring, logging, and system reliability.
• Support internal tools used by research, clinical, and ML teams.
• Prepare infrastructure foundations for future regulatory and clinical scaling.

What we expect

• Experience with backend development (Python, Go, or similar).
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
• Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD, and containerisation.
• Understanding of security, access control, and data protection.
• Ability to design systems for reliability and scale.
