About the role
As a Research Engineer at OmniBuds, you will work hands-on with our ear-worn sensing platform, helping design experiments, collect high-quality physiological data, analyse signals, and build research prototypes.
This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer interested in wearable sensing, physiological signals, and data-driven experimentation.
What you’ll do
- Design and run physiological sensing experiments and data-collection sessions.
- Collect multimodal PPG, acoustic, IMU, temperature, and reference data.
- Develop Python tools for data collection, synchronisation, visualisation, and analysis.
- Analyse signal quality, physiological patterns, variability, and artefacts.
- Prepare and quality-check datasets for algorithm development.
- Build research prototypes and simple signal-processing/ML pipelines.
- Work closely with our research, hardware, firmware, and clinical teams.
What we expect
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science.
- Good Python and data-analysis skills.
