About the role

As a Research Engineer at OmniBuds, you will work hands-on with our ear-worn sensing platform, helping design experiments, collect high-quality physiological data, analyse signals, and build research prototypes.

This role is ideal for a recent graduate or early-career engineer interested in wearable sensing, physiological signals, and data-driven experimentation.

What you’ll do

  • Design and run physiological sensing experiments and data-collection sessions.
  • Collect multimodal PPG, acoustic, IMU, temperature, and reference data.
  • Develop Python tools for data collection, synchronisation, visualisation, and analysis.
  • Analyse signal quality, physiological patterns, variability, and artefacts.
  • Prepare and quality-check datasets for algorithm development.
  • Build research prototypes and simple signal-processing/ML pipelines.
  • Work closely with our research, hardware, firmware, and clinical teams.

What we expect

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or Data Science.
  • Good Python and data-analysis skills.
  • Hands-on, curious, and comfortable with experimentation and wearable sensing.
  • Ideally, existing authorization to work in the United States.
